International Tamil Language held in May 2008

Australasian Mid Year Exam in mid July.

The Poonga examination committee have organized the Australasian Tamil Examination in New Zealand. In future this will help to bridge the Tamil community children together. This mid year examination was open to wider Tamil community in New Zealand. Examination papers and the certificates come from Australian Tamil Examination Board Victoria State.

All the administration work is organized by us and CLANZ (Community Language Association of New Zealand). Their President Mr Roger Brookes went through the process and accepted it has been done with similar conventions of language examinations worldwide.

Children sat their exam at Wellington, Hamilton, Christchurch and Auckland. In May 2006 our school children sat the first for the International Tamil Examination paper which is conducted all over Europe.
